Careers Springboard Bracknell: Information and Data Protection statement.

Careers Springboard Bracknell (CSB) is committed to meeting its data protection obligations under UK law as set out by the Information Commissioners Office, the UK's independent authority set up to promote access to official information and to protect personal information (www.ico.gov.uk) under the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998.

Personal data is kept for administration purposes only. Summary data, with no individually specific content, is provided to our funders. If the Government's Job Centre Plus has a member's approval to share personal data with us the terms of that approval will be complied with. Personal data is not used for marketing purposes other than to contact members or ex-members about CSB matters. All personal data will be deleted from our records upon unsubscribing from membership and requesting no follow up. Details of all the personal data held can be reviewed under the 'edit profile' option in the member's area of the website.

All information and advice is provided by us in good faith. It is not our policy to reveal any personal details of members enrolled at CSB. However, some members may be producing web-based material containing personal data as part of their networking. In such cases, responsibility for such disclosures rests entirely with the individual members concerned and is not indicative of any CSB policy. Personal contact details for volunteers and officers are only made available via our public web sites if consent has been given for such a disclosure. If you should email CSB to ask for a particular individual's contact details that have not been made available on the web site, your message will be forwarded to the individual concerned, who will then decide whether to respond or not. If, after reading such a statement, anyone chooses to submit any personal data, they are thereby giving their consent for that data to be held and processed for the stated purpose or purposes.

No responsibility whatsoever shall attach to CSB or any person acting on its behalf for any actions taken by any person acting on this information or advice.
