About Careers Springboard Bracknell

Careers Springboard was first formed in 1991 to help redundant executives, managers and professionals in the Chilterns and South Bucks areas get back into work.  That group still runs in Gerrards Cross. The name and general model is now also being used by executive job clubs in Bracknell, Aylesbury and Newbury. To date these groups have helped over 1000 members back into the work force.

The group in Bracknell held its first meeting on September 15th 2006.

Each local group organises their own weekly meetings, with their own format and timing. In Bracknell each meeting provides the members with support in three distinct ways.

1.             A speaker focuses the meeting on a specific facet of job searching, such as letter writing, telephone techniques, networking, use of the internet, interview techniques, or personal presentation, where practicable giving the members an opportunity to develop and practice their insight and skills in small groups.

2.             A group discussion then gives members an opportunity to share and learn from recent experiences and progress.

3.             Finally members can review their own progress and discuss their own challenges privately with a volunteer. During this time a member might, for instance, discuss possible revisions to their C.V. so as to make it a more effective selling document customised for each job application. Our volunteer helpers have been involved with redundancy so you will meet people who understand your feelings and needs.

Why not join us if you need help or support.

New members and volunteers from the Bracknell area
are always welcome.
